So before you decide to try using something other than FADEPLEX, take a look at some of these potentially unsafe possibilities.

Cryosurgery: Is a freezing method used with liquid nitrogen in which it freezes the tattoo area and then scabs over and will then fall off. This method may cause scarring and can also damage nerve tissue.

Salabrasion: Wrap a cloth around a block and apply salt and water to it and scrub it on the tattoo until it is red. Then wrap it for three days and repeat the procedure until the tattoo is gone. This method has been known to leave scarring and be painful.

Excision: This is a surgical procedure. A surgeon goes in and cuts the tattoo out. This may be expensive, extremely painful and can leave a scar. Grafting can be done to heal the scar left behind which can add additional cost and pain.

Dermabrasion: Is a process of eliminating an unwanted tattoo by sanding. Spray the tattoo with a solution to freeze it, then use a power sanding type device and rub the skin away. This may be painful and may possibly leave redness, irritation and scarring.

Laser Tattoo Removal: Laser beams break up ink particles into to small fragments and are later cleared up by the body's cells. This can be very expensive and painful. Also, using laser treatments can cause redness, irritation and possible scarring to the skin.
